Help me find a nice lease deal or a used car to finance! I want to spend around $300-350/month, give or take. I’m drawn to ze Germans, but I can be convinced otherwise. Obviously, I already have an idea of what I want, but I wanted to see what the Opponauts could come up with.

Oh and, my brother drives a GTI, so that is out of the question. Something like this is more appropriate. MINI, even??

Whatever you do, promise me you won’t make the decision until after you test out both the ATS and CTS coupes. Don’t forget that the current 1 series is already 4 years old (and only available as a hatchback), while the CTS and ATS are 1 and 2 years old chassis already.

Plus, magnetic ride control.

Also, worry a lot less about the monthly payments and a lot more on the total cost and residual value / depreciation.

Plus, credit score, initial cash down, length of the lease you want, etc. Cost per month is just one tiny fraction of the picture here.

How much down? Remember, when you see those $45k cars available for 349/month, it’s usually for 10k miles a year, and with 10% down plus your fees. Usually that equates to about 7500 down on a $45k car. What do you have available to put down initially?
